A favorite, this highly detailed 21 inch carved stone-resin Nativity Tree Figure is set in an antiqued color palette with golden accents that makes a captivating Nativity scene. The star of Bethlehem adorns the top of the tree; you will see on the Nativity Tree the Baby Jesus in the manger with the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. Near the top of the tree you see an Angel blowing a trumpet to announce the birth of the Baby Jesus, and a shepherd with a lamb. The Magi of Bethlehem, Caspar of India, Melchior of Persia, and Balthasar of Arabia are seen bearing offerings of gold, myrrh, and frankincense. Gold is a symbol of divinity and kingship, myrrh symbolizes suffering and death, and frankincense is a symbol of deity. On looking are also an ox and a donkey. Your family can follow the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi who was said to have staged the first nativity scene outside a cave in Greccio, Italy on Dec 24th Eve in the year 1223 about 800 years ago. Displaying this beautiful 21 inch high Nativity Tree Figure is sure to become a family tradition for years to come as it reminds us of the true meaning of season. The Christian Brands Avalon Gallery Collection Nativity Tree is a way to share the true spirit this season.
