Driving the Audi to the championship title in 2017 and second place in 2018

René Rast made motor sport history in 2017. With his Audi RS 5 DTM he secured the title as a rookie in his first full DTM season. In the DTM season of 2017, he was really able to prove his abilities and experience the championship title. In the following year, the German only narrowly missed out on the title: Gary Paffett was four points ahead of him.
