Divine Mercy is a significant Christian devotion centered on the mercy of God and Jesus Christ's endless compassion for humanity. It is rooted in the visions and diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun who lived in the early 20th century. She reported visions of Jesus emphasizing the importance of divine mercy, and through her, the Divine Mercy image was created, depicting Jesus with red and pale rays emanating from His heart. This devotion includes the Divine Mercy Chaplet, a set of prayers, and the observation of Divine Mercy Sunday, which is celebrated on the Sunday after Easter. It is a reminder of the boundless mercy of God and calls believers to trust in Jesus and extend mercy to others.
