If your family is planning a quiet night in this Thanksgiving, then why not consider planning a movie night and celebrating Thanksgiving #DisneyStyle!
We have compiled the top five Disney Thanksgiving movies that the whole family will love.
This 1948 Donald Duck film is an oldie but a goodie! The plot is based around Donald’s nephews - Huey, Dewey and Louie - who are supposed to wash up after dinner. Things take a surprising turn when the nephews convince Donald that he is an angel.
Soup’s On is a great choice if you want something light hearted and animated - it’s also short so it will keep small children entertained but will be over before they get restless. You might even consider popping it on to tide the kids over while the adults are preparing the meal.
Squanto: A Warrior's Tale
Set in the 17th century, Squanto tells the story of a native american man who is captured by English settlers who take him to New England.
This live-action film is a fantastic Thanksgiving Day watch if you want something educational and perfect for all ages. Squanto is loosely based on the historical figure of the same name and the events of his life before and after the arrival of the Mayflower.
Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving
Nothing is more heartwarming on a holiday than a Winnie the Pooh story, and Seasons of Giving will really hit the spot.
The story opens with Tigger wanting to ski, but there is a problem: Hundred Acre Wood has no snow. Other problems develop along the way but are all set right in time for the gang to celebrate Thanksgiving together, and then Christmas.
Thanksgiving Day Mirthquakes
This Disney short is not much to sit through, so it might be just the thing to put on if there is a lull in the day.
