In 1982 in the small Finnish town of Lahti, horse lover Gunnar Gangsø started with a simple production of horse shoes, horse harnesses and horse rugs. His passion for his work and the exceptional quality of those products soon created a name for himself. He gradually began his company in Finland and soon watched it expand across Europe. As Finn-Tack starts up, Gunnar Gangso delivers horse shoes, harness equipment and horse rugs with a specially modified truck to stables and riding clubs. Due to high demand and growth, Finn-Tack increases the production capacity from manual production, and several facilities for producing clothing and various equestrian/racing tack apparel get established. Next to the trotting course in Lahti, the first large warehouse is built. Connected to the warehouse is also the first Finn-Tack store. By this time there is enough supply and demand to serve the wholesale business. The success within the trotting sector brings up the discussion to develop products for the general equestrian market. The brand Horze with the significant red ""Z"" is created. The same year, the first online shop at www.horze.no is launched in Norway and announced at the Oslo Horse Show.
