While son-in-law Larry Bard joined the company a decade later, he spurred a new trend which eventually evolved from fireplace accessories to general giftware selling the finest of solid brass pieces. During that time, the name was changed to Brasscrafters, Inc. and Larry's sons Steven and Richard joined the company. Eventually expanding into other Metal and Asian Wood Products, the name was changed to Bard International, removing a brass only moniker while identifying a vaster more worldly decor.
